Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with an intact black paper liner and dark blue wool backer, the shield measuring 51. 02 mm (w) x 61. 30 mm (h), demonstrating
